Control system for people and equipment

The system is designed to control personnel and equipment in underground mines in order to increase employee safety and productivity.

Using special transmitters, personnel and equipment transmit their location information to fixed transceivers, which are installed in cave corridors.

After processing, the transceivers transfer the data to a control centre where the movements of the transmitters (on personnel or on the equipment) are shown on a map of the mine.

Each transmitter has its own number which, after processing, is equipped with a name (personal or equipment name).
In addition to the current location information, the system also triggers emergency alarms.

Transmitters:
  • An active transmitter operates in the UHF band, frequency 866/2.4 GHz.
  • Range up to 100 metres.
  • It transmits location and battery status information.

The transmitter can be integrated into mining lamps or mobile equipment in the cave.
  • The maximum permissible vehicle speed during checkpoint crossing is 12 metres/sec

Transceivers:
  • A fixed transceiver located in current spots.
  • Automatic networking (plug & play).
  • Communication:
    • - RS-485 MODBUS (up to 12km)
    • MODBUS over TCP/IP (>15km)
