The RTU-40 is a central unit designed for simple monitoring and control tasks (to transfer data from sensors to a control centre or to control a specific technological process). It can be used in a secondary function as a serial-Ethernet interface or as a fixed access point of the ZigBee system (personnel and equipment positioning system).
Based on the ATEX M1 certified Board Computer unit "MP-40", the RTU-40 has various types of digital and analogue inputs and outputs that are galvanically isolated from the processor and communication parts.
It also includes several communication ports, such as Ethernet or RS485, as well as wireless ZigBee or Wi-Fi transmission, which allow the unit to function as a communication bridge and allow easy integration with external systems.
Supply voltage:
FAR-V20: 230V AC RTU-40: 9-14.5V (12V DC nominal)
Consumption:
125mA 12V DC (without display)
Dimensions:
405 x 305 x 205 mm
Outputs/Inputs:
Analog inputs: 8 factory-set as in 0 to 2V, 0 to 10V, 0 to 1mA, 0 to 20 mA. Input impedance depends on configuration. Digital inputs: 8 TTL. Input impedance 10KΩ, internal 47KΩ pull-up. Can be used as a 0 to 15Hz analogue input. Analogue outputs: 4 voltage outputs 0 to10V (output impedance: 10KΩ) Digital outputs: 4 opto-relays with an integrated diode for direct connection to most mining equipment.
Communication:
RS485: Full-duplex or half-duplex. Speed: 1,200 bps to 11,5200 bps Ethernet: 10/100 Base-TX Optical communication: Optionally, an optical converter can be integrated into the RTU-40 casing. Optical communication: single mode (9/125) or multimode (50/125) fibres. ZigBee: ZigBee Pro (IEEE 802.15.4) WiFi: IEEE 802.11b (11Mbps) (neEx variant only)
