Data separation element PLV-XXX-PEx is designed for transfer and galvanic separation of data signals between non-intrinsic (power) circuits and intrinsic safe circuits. Because of its robust design, it can be used in applications in underground mines (I). PLV-XXX-PEx can be mounted directly to Ex d and Ex e enclosure type through cable bushing type M24x1,5.
Operation of PLV-XXX-PEx is based on activation of relay output on intrinsic safe side in case of power supply presence at the non-intrinsic safe side of device. The whole operation process is supported by small microprocessor, which also allows setting delay time of relay activation between 0 and 9 s after power supply presence. There are two light indicators on the cover of enclosure, which indicates the presence of power supply and state of relay activation.
